Passenger Information
Travel Documents
- A valid passport with at least six months’ validity from the travel date.
- A travel ticket issued by MENA LINE for the Safaga–NEOM route, or one of its authorized agents (if applicable).
- A valid visa and any required security clearance for restricted nationalities, issued by the relevant Saudi authorities or embassy.
- A travel permit from/to the guardian for travelers under 18 years old, issued by the competent security authority if the minor is not accompanied.
- Required military service documents for travellers subject to Egyptian military service regulations.
- A valid work permit for Egyptian nationals if required, issued at least three days prior to travel.
Essential Travel Regulations
- The ticket is nominal & personal, non-transferable; void if lost, defaced, altered, or if data differs from Carrier records.
- Return ticket holders must adhere to the specified return date or expiry for open tickets.
- Full ticket: ages 12+; half ticket: under 12.
- Each passenger allowed 80 kg free; excess charged (including roof-carried items).
- Board only with personal belongings and necessary medication; other baggage goes to cargo vehicles.
- Arrive at the port 6 hours before scheduled departure and follow mobilization instructions.
- Carrier not responsible for repatriation if entry refused; deported passengers bear return costs.
- Smoking in unauthorized areas may incur a 3,500 EGP fine.
Onboard & Operational Guidelines
- No outside food for passengers; cafeteria serves meals and beverages.
- No payments without official receipt.
- Ticket validity expires upon the end of the specified travel time; Carrier not responsible for passenger lateness except Carrier/authority delays.
- Passengers causing damage must compensate for damages.
Prohibited Hazardous Materials (Passengers)
- Severely chilled compressed gases, flammable/non-flammable gases (Butane, Oxygen, Liquid Nitrogen, Propane, scuba cylinders).
- Corrosive materials (acids, alkalis, liquid cell batteries).
- Biological agents, explosives, firearms, ammunition, fireworks.
- Flammable liquids/solids (lighter fuel, paints, thinners, matches).
- Radioactive & oxidizing materials; toxic substances (arsenic, cyanide, insecticides).
- Medical supplies & cosmetics allowed in limited necessary quantities.
Carrier Liability Limits
- Carrier exercises customary due diligence; not responsible for delays/cancellations due to causes outside its control or Force Majeure.
- Egyptian Maritime Trade Law governs liability; disputes subject to Egyptian courts.
- Max compensation: death 500,000 EGP; permanent disability 250,000 EGP (proven gross negligence).
Vehicle Information
Terms & Conditions
- Ticket validity & personal nature: Ticket is nominal & personal, non-transferable; void if lost, defaced, altered, or mismatched with Carrier records.
- Vehicle data warranty: Shipper warrants the accuracy of vehicle data (type, color, plate, VIN/chassis, engine, weight, declared value).
- Shipper liability for damages: Shipper/Passenger indemnifies Carrier for damages caused by fault or negligence.
- Insurance: Shipper must maintain valid maritime & third-party insurance during conveyance.
- Claim notification: Report visible damage before leaving port; concealed damage within 24 hours.
Operational instructions & prohibitions

- Prohibited items: narcotics, controlled substances, or items forbidden by authorities.
- Vehicle fuel must not exceed 15% of nominal capacity during carriage.
Height & Weight Limits
- Max height for sedans: 1.85 m.
- Max height for vans & SUVs: 2.10 m.
- Max gross weight: 3 tons (includes roof attachments).
Prohibited Hazardous Materials (Vehicles)
- Compressed & refrigerated gases, corrosives, explosives, weapons, flammables, toxic substances and radioactive materials.
- Electric vehicles (EVs): Shipper must disclose battery status and accept liability for battery-related risks.
Carrier Liability & Jurisdiction
- Carrier not liable for Force Majeure, perils of the sea, authority acts, strikes, riots, or sudden malfunctions.
- Contract governed by Egyptian Maritime Trade Law No. 8 of 1990; disputes in Egyptian courts.
- Compensation limits for bodily harm: death up to 500,000 EGP; permanent disability up to 250,000 EGP.
